Most treatments are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs and other private insurance plans and may include:
- Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- Specialized wound dressing
- Off-loading (taking pressure off the wound)
- Sharp debridement (removal of dead tissue)
- Compression therapy
